Track your shipment to any port. Containers and cars.
Type your container, bill of lading or booking number, choose your shipping line, and follow your shipment in seven plain stages — to Tema, Takoradi or any port in the world. Right here, or in the Wabenzy app.
Works on any phone or computer. You'll see the price before you pay.
What to have ready
It's all on your shipping documents.
Your number
A container number (like MSKU1234565), a bill of lading number or a booking number. Any one will do.
Your shipping line
The company carrying your shipment. It's usually printed at the top of your bill of lading, and we suggest it when the number shows it.
A phone number
So our team can reach you if anything needs checking.
Not sure which number is which? We show you where each one sits on a bill of lading.
How it works
Enter your number
Type or paste it. We tell you which kind of number it is.
Choose your shipping line
We suggest the line when we can. If yours isn't listed, our team will help.
Pay once
See the price first, then pay by mobile money or card.
Follow it to port
We ask your shipping line for the journey and keep checking it. Open your shipment here or in the app any time.
What you get
No more checking one carrier website after another, or waiting for an agent to call you back.
One box, any number
No choosing between container, bill of lading and booking. Type the number you have and we tell you which kind it is.
Seven plain stages
From booked to collected from the port. Each stage says what it means for you in one sentence, not in shipping codes.
Your arrival date, up front
The date your shipment is expected at its destination port, shown big. It's marked "estimated" until it's confirmed, with when we last checked.
Containers and RoRo cars
Shipping in a container or roll-on/roll-off? Both work. For a RoRo car, use the bill of lading or booking number.
Any port in the world
Tema and Takoradi are the routes we know best, but the ports come from your shipping line — so a shipment to anywhere else is followed exactly the same way.
The next step, ready
When your shipment arrives, estimate your import duty and get help with clearing, in the same app.
Our team, if anything's wrong
If we can't find your shipment or the updates stop, our team is told straight away and will contact you. A button to reach us is always on the screen.
Seven stages, in plain words
What each stage means for you as your shipment moves.
- 1
Waiting for the shipping line
We've asked your shipping line for your shipment. The first update can take up to a day.
- 2
Booked
Space on the ship is reserved. Nothing has been loaded yet.
- 3
Loaded
Your cargo is on board and waiting to sail.
- 4
At sea
On its way to the port. Ships sometimes stop at other ports first.
- 5
Arrived at the port
The ship is in port. Unloading comes next.
- 6
Unloaded at the port
Your cargo is off the ship. Customs clearing comes next.
- 7
Collected from the port
It has left the port. Tracking is complete.
In the app these name your own ports — "Loaded at Antwerp", "Arrived at Tema" — read from your shipping line.
Shipment tracking questions
How do I track my container or car to Ghana?
Right here on the website, or in the Wabenzy app. Type the container, bill of lading or booking number from your shipping documents, choose your shipping line, and pay. We then follow the shipment and show you where it is and when it's expected at the port.
Can I track with a bill of lading number?
Yes. A container number, a bill of lading (B/L) number or a booking number all work, and you don't have to say which one it is. Use the shipping line's bill of lading, not a forwarder's house bill. If you only have a house bill, ask your forwarder for the line's B/L, the booking number or the container number.
Do I need to know the shipping line?
Yes, you choose it from a list. It's usually printed at the top of your bill of lading. When the number shows which line it belongs to, we suggest it and you just confirm. If your line isn't on the list, our team will help.
Can I track a car shipped RoRo?
Yes. A car shipped roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) has no container number, so use the bill of lading or booking number from the shipping line.
What do "discharged" and "gated out" mean?
"Discharged" means your container or car has been unloaded from the ship at the port. We show it as "Unloaded at" your port, for example "Unloaded at Tema". "Gated out" means it has left the port terminal, usually after customs clearing. We show it as "Collected from the port".
What happens if my shipment can't be found?
Our team is told straight away and will contact you to check the number or sort it out. That's why we ask for a phone number we can reach you on before you pay.
How much does it cost?
The price is shown before you pay. You pay once for each shipment you track, by mobile money or card.
Will you message me when it arrives?
Not yet. Open your shipment on the website or in the app any time to see the latest stage and the date it's expected at the port, with when we last checked.
Can I track a shipment to a country other than Ghana?
Yes. Tracking works for a shipment to any port in the world — the ports come from your shipping line, so wherever your cargo is going is where we follow it. Tema and Takoradi are simply the routes most of our customers use.
Can I track on an iPhone?
Yes. Tracking works on this website on any phone or computer. The Wabenzy app itself is on Android first.
